You can't NOT love Rex (and his owners...)
December 15

and end to lazyness...for now

Hi, everyone!

I’ve been so slack; I haven’t written an entry in ages and at the moment, I’m bored and so, why don’t I write one?

The latest news is that us girlies graduated (finally) Go us! We survived the year 2006! It hasn’t really hit me that we have done 10 years of schooling (11 if you count pre-school) and it’ll probably hit me at the weirdest time, like at 2:30 in the morning. And Kate got her ears pierced! I didn’t get to see cuz I had to catch a bus then go to work, but I’m sure they’ll look great and I’ll see at Laura’s party tomorrow. And, I’ll see you girls who are leaving, I’ll miss you heaps.

Other news? Pretty much my holidays revolve around sleeping, eating, working and watching TV (whenever I have time).

Seriously, I spend most of my time working, I spent the first 3 ½ days of the holidays working and I had to work 4 hours after I graduated, which really sucked and the second I got home that day, I had to change my clothes, leave a note to dad reminding him to pick me up at quarter to ten (yes, quarter to ten, oh the pain of it all) and race out the door. I didn’t have time to fix my hair or change my earrings and at work, I was so unenthusiastic and Luke was trying to get me more enthusiastic, but it didn’t really work.

I’m annoyed that I have lost the ability to sleep in, I always seem to get up at 6am which sucks, cuz I love sleeping in ‘til 10 and I haven’t seen a Rex ep live on TV in several weeks, only what I taped.

It’s just over a week ‘til Christmas, this year has seriously flown by and that is kinda scary.

Anyway, I’ve bored you enough, I’ll see most of you at Laura’s tomorrow, the party is going top be awesome, I’m already pumped…then on Sunday, I have to go to work (again), but sometimes, work can be fun (can’t believe I’m saying this) but seriously, it can be, it just depends on what happens that day :)

Cyaz!

PS. I’ll post the graduation picks one day, my internet sucks and it takes ages to load.

September 01

Well, I’ll stop being slack and I’ll write an entry.

July 10

last week and holidays (so far)

This ain't a song for the broken hearted,

No silent prayer for the faith-departed
I ain't gonna be just a face in the crowd
You're gonna hear my voice
When I shout it out loud

It's my life
It's now or never
I ain't gonna live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive
(It's my life)
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said
I did it my way
I just wanna live while I'm alive
It's my life

This is for the ones who stood their ground
For Tommy and Gina who never backed down
Tomorrow's getting harder make no mistake
Luck ain't even lucky
Got to make your own breaks

It's my life
And it's now or never
I ain't gonna live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive
(It's my life)
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said
I did it my way
I just want to live while I'm alive
'Cause it's my life

Better stand tall when they're calling you out
Don't bend, don't break, baby, don't back down

It's my life
And it's now or never
'Cause I ain't gonna live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive
(It's my life)
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said
I did it my way
I just want to live while I'm alive

It's my life
And it's now or never
'Cause I ain't gonna live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive
(It's my life)
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said
I did it my way
I just want to live while I'm alive
'Cause it's my life!

Welcome to the first day of the holidays! It seemed that we would never make it. The final week seemed to crawl along, considering Monday was so boring. Wow, my communication style is thinker. I’m sure that it will be useful in the future. (In case you can’t tell, I was being sarcastic, one of the trademarks of being a thinker.)

Tuesday was so much better, cracking the codes was fun and being led around the school blind by Alex was also fun. And so was lazing in the sun in the new quad. During the mass that we set up, there were so many times when I could have laughed, but I held it in. (Not a trademark of being a thinker) And Russy was laughing her head off when I spilt candle wax on my jacket ‘cause it looked like a bird crapped on it. VERY FUNNY.

Wednesday was OK too, and the interviews we did, OMG I felt I was going to explode from laughter during it. Fran clearly loves art. Russy clearly wants to join the shoe industry. We all say ‘um’ too many times. It’s a force of habit.

I can make balloon animals now. (That’s all I can say about Thursday)

Friday was fun as well, aside from the fact that I’ve seen Bend it Like Beckham several times already. (Of course they had to show a movie about soccer). Outward Bound was good; my team was the best at the wooden plank walking thingies.

Then it was the end of school. (For Semester 1 anyway)

I found a song lyric to describe the year so far (and you can't disagree):

Tomorrow’s getting harder, make no mistake. Luck ain’t even lucky, got to make your own breaks.

I spent the weekend lazing around the house; I couldn’t be stuffed to do anything, except sit on my bed and watch a few eps of rex.

I drove on Sunday as well for the first time. It was quite fun. I can drive in a straight line and do a U-turn (kinda) and that’s about it. I went really slow, like 40km/h which is a snail’s pace, but when I first got behind the wheel, I only did 20km/h (Don’t laugh. This was in the first 5 mins, OK?)

Today, I went formal dress shopping, and I kind of have a dress. OK that probably makes no sense, because you either have a dress or you don’t. But it makes sense to me because mine’s going to be made and I know what colour and style it’s going to be. Plus, I need to buy shoes and a bag.

Don’t you think it’s funny when people call the formal ‘the formal’ and everyone knows what they’re talking about even though it isn’t a formal, it’s a dance. And when people call the formal ‘the dance’, you see a lot of blank looks and people asking, ‘Dance? What dance?”

Just thought I’d share that with you.

AND FOR SOME MAJOR NEWS (To Me) REX IS ON THURSDAY, WHICH IS 2 DAYS AND 22 HOURS AWAY!!!! (At time of typing)

In other news, I have a digital camera now, its silver and the screen flips out and twists around 180o.

And I won a $20 voucher from Sanity. I wish it was JB-HiFi though, but hey, a voucher is a voucher.

That is all (for now). Expect lots of blog entries these holidays, got nothing planned (so far) and I have to release my boredom on something.

C’yaz!

June 16

Another one of my rants

Shakedown 1979 cool kids never had the time

On a live wire right up off the street
You and I should meet
Junebug skipping like a stone
With the headlights pointed at the dawn
We were sure we'd never see an end to it all
And I don't even care to shake these zipper blues
And we don't know
Just where our bones will rest
To dust I guess
Forgotten and absorbed into the earth below
Double cross the vacant and the bored
They're not sure just what we have in store
Morphine city slippin dues down to see
That we don't even care as restless as we are
We feel the pull in the land of a thousand guilts
And poured cement, lamented and assured
To the lights and towns below
Faster than the speed of sound
Faster than we thought we'd go, beneath the sound of hope
Justine never knew the rules,
Hung down with the freaks and the ghouls
No apologies ever need be made, I know you better than you fake it
To see that we don't even care to shake these zipper blues
And we don't know just where our bones will rest
To dust I guess
Forgotten and absorbed into the earth below
The street heats the urgency of sound
As you can see there's no one around

I’ll never give up the songs…ever.

Hey everyone,

Well, we’re in the home straight of Semester 1. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. The holidays are coming closer and closer, but we still have to get through….exams *hysterical screaming* I’ve started studying, but some of the stuff won’t stick in my head. It’s basically in through one ear and out the other, I swear. At least the lunchtime class for Maths helped and we get an I-really-don’t-know-what-the-exam-is-about-help-me-before-I-go-insane-as-I’m-hugging-a-pillow-and-rocking-back-and-forth-on-my-chair Science session on Monday which will help ease the pain. We don’t have to wear uniform on the exam days which I guess is good so we can wear as many layers of clothing as we want as the auditorium will be freeeeezing. It’s also good that we get study lessons in between exams. Phewf. Time for some major cramming.

Anyway, you wouldn’t want to hear anymore about the exams. Let’s never speak of it again.

Well as the Germans would say, Alles gut, ende gut. Our group is in one piece again. Just in time as well, we wouldn’t want to worry about that sort of thing while trying to figure out what x equals to, etc.

7:30pm last night. Hmmm. Normally, it’s one of the highlights of the week (cuz duh, Inspector Rex is on) I still have to wait another 27 days,  and several seconds. (At time of typing) That’s ages away. *sigh* But I’m not blaming the world cup or anything, it’s just those soccer talk shows. Come on.

Speaking of countdowns here are some more recent ones aside for the rex one:

2 hours ‘til Veronica Mars comes back

3 days ‘til exams

4 days ‘til Kate’s b’day

7 days ‘til Karen’s b’day and party

21 days ‘til the holidays

There’s probably more but I can’t think of them. I’ll give you an update for events that happen later on this year

After exactly one lesson in the topic, careers, I have and idea what I want to do in the future. Well, I want to study law (as most of you know) and become either a lawyer, diplomat or insurance claims officer and if I can’t be either one of those things, I’ll be a private investigator cuz you could do it if you half a brain. That’s my future career sorted.

To fill some time, here’s what ‘Inspector Rex’ is known as in other countries:

Australia: Inspector Rex (no duh)

Germany/ Austria: Kommissar Rex

The Netherlands: Commissaris Rex

Italy: Il Commissario Rex

Spain and Spanish-speaking countries (Chile, etc): El Commissario Rex

Portugal: O Cao Policia Rex

Finland: Polisikoira Rex

France: L’ Inpecteur Rex

Romania: Commisarul Rex

Czech Republic: Komisar Rex

Estonia: Komissar Rex

There’s probably more, but I can’t think of them at the moment.

Don’t ask how I know these things. It’s one of life’s mysteries.

Anyway, time to get off the computer and back to some serious cramming.

Cyaz on Monday or whenever,

Steph

PS. Yes I am appear offline because I can’t stay long.

June 10

The end to my lazy streak.

Hey everyone!

I’ll stop being lazy and update my space. Here’s my fave song for the moment obviously it was written by males, so don’t bother pointing that out :

I hope (I hope) she lights that candle
I hope (I hope) she shows me everything and all that light can bring
Her skin (her skin), it begs my worship
Like a mad temple crowd
I crush her, she goes down
We melt up from the ground?
Up to better times, sweet release, take me now, take me now
Up to better times, sweet release, take me now, take me now, yeah

Doubt (doubt), get right behind me
You're a cloud, just a blemish on the sun
And there's better times to come
Our love, this cloak and dagger
This silent will to brighten everything
And find the road that leads?
Up to better times, sweet release, take me now, take me now
Up to better times, sweet release, take me now, take me now, yeah,
oh

Oh, and if we die tonight, take our leave from this plastic place
Become the dove, just fly away?
Up to better times, sweet release, take me now, take me now
Come on baby up to your better times
Your sweet release, take me now, take me now, oh
Oohh oooh
Oh.

Well, rex isn’t on for ages another 33 days 4 hours and 25 mins and some seconds. (at the time of typing) At least I have the DVDs to stop me from going insane. OK, further insane.

Why does the world cup have to be on SBS? BTW, I’m going for Germany. They won their first match 4-2. Go Germany!

How unpatriotic of me. Going for Germany, not Australia. Oh well.

I don’t have many assignments anymore except for the prac reports and the media TV ad. Poor Hayley, she has to do heaps of assignments cuz she wasn’t here.

But we all have heaps of tests… and the exams. But I won’t talk about them.

I’ve decided to set this to public. I’m beyond caring about who sees this space. Hello to you all. (Except for you stalkers)

Monday was fun sitting in senior class. Even though while sitting in maths method I was like “what the hell is this” and in English the yr12’s were having a debate over whether Draco Malfoy is hotter that Neville Longbottom. (they were studying Harry potter)

In Biology I had cholera, which was disgusting and my symptoms told us some unwanted information. So, in conclusion, I have been drink sewage and eating shellfish from the Gulf of Mexico. What a thrill.

Yesterday we were told about why we aren’t going to see the Othello play. Not sure I want to see it if it’s going to be that disturbing. If you’re in my English class you know what I’m talking about

I’m so bad at aerobics. I can’t keep time with the people, who are oiled and are shiny with unnatural abs and believe that we can control our destiny as well as our density. I made up that last part.

That wasn’t funny, I know. I just had to add that in.

In PC some weeks ago, I was telling everyone how to say “Inspector Rex” in other languages. Now everyone in PC reckons I’m an escapee from an insane asylum and I can’t blame them.

I’m not going to see Robbie Williams in Sydney. 1) I’m not allowed and 2) the tix sold out in like 2 seconds. But if a DVD comes out I’ll buy it even though I’ll be thinking well, I could have been there. Speaking of which, his world tour has started and I bet that if he has a free day in Germany he’ll watch the matches because 1) he likes soccer 2) he’s a friend of David Beckham.

In other news, Tiger has been keeping the rodent population down. Today, he brought a mouse and several more before that. It’s kinda gross though but being overrun by rodents is worse. Now he’s sleeping on my bed, all curled up and cute. And he knows that he’s cute too.

I haven’t changed my screen name in over a year…and damn proud of it.

Have any of you watched Salad Fingers? I was introduced by Anna (the rex-freak one, not my PC-pal-dance-obsessed-one). It’s hard to describe. It’s creepy and disturbing yet amusing. If you’ve ever watched movies from Weebls stuff it’s sort of like that. He likes forks and Young Child is sort of cute.

It’s a 3 day weekend!!!! I know it took time to get to that but in the main thing is that IT’S A THREE DAY WEEKEND!!!!! I’ve decided that Monday will be school-work free. I’ve spent so many weeks doing assignments so on Monday I’ll just be watching rex, etc… as you’d think I do.

And my MSN is working so I can see when other people have updated their spaces.

Anyway, I’ve said enough.

Cyaz on Tuesday or whenever,

Steph

PS thanks to all of you who have been commenting. I like reading them. Like everyone else.

I have questionable sanity :P, but aside from that, I love crime shows and German Shepherds and put together you get Inspector Rex (aka Kommissar Rex) the best show in the history of TV
